Convert Images for Laser Engraving

In Illustrator, all images must be converted.

• Select your image

• Go to Window (in the top bar) 

• scroll down to Image Trace

• Mode - change from Black and White to Grayscale

• Grays - set between 5 and 10

• Select “Ignore White”

• Select Preview to approve your settings. (lower left)

• Turn Preview OFF and select Trace (lower right)

• In Properties, select “Expand” (toward the bottom)

• Go to View (in the top bar) and select Outlines.

• Delete all stray shapes.
